Patrick Latter: Hiker Photographer calliegarp FabArts October 16, 2012 1 Minute Check out the photography of Canadian Programmer Analyst Patrick Latter. This image feels almost textbook-Ansel-Adams Despite a lot of slightly cheesy sunset pics (hey who wouldn’t fall prey to a gorgeous sunset/sunrise like that?!) Latter’s photographs are certainly beautiful. However, I find is portraits to be far more interesting and original than his landscape/hiking photography. What I love most about Latter’s work is that he discovers each frame as he is out hiking, attending a music festival/hippie fest or what have you. These are not created images, and thus feel more authentic. Somewhere in the woods of Canada, someone stuck a ton of buoys up in trees and the hiker looks just as surprised to see them as we do. I also appreciate when the images go beyond what feel like “documentary photographs” — down the hiking trail, the sunset/sunrise and have more potential meaning than landscape. Check out his blog, website or facebook page for more images 🙂 0.000000 0.000000 Share this:TwitterFacebookLike Loading...
